Located an hour from Lisbon and two from Porto, it is also surrounded by remarkable places such as Fatima or historical as Tomar, Leiria, Alcobaça and Batalha, poetic, like Constance or archaeological, as the footprints of dinosaurs of Serra de Aire and Candeeiros, the Caves of Mira de Aire, Alvados and Santo António. The wonderful beaches of neighboring municipalities are also a great suggestion to visit.

Very close, you can still enjoy a visit to the medieval castle of Ourem, perched on top of a hill, offers a fantastic view of the landscape that surrounds it. A stroll through the walls and through the historic streets, or even the church of Santa Maria de Ourem, where the crypt of King Afonso IV - Conde de Ourem is a great board to spend a beautiful evening.
In addition to all this, the food is also a typical reference in the region. Restaurant as "Tromba Rija", in Leiria, "Chico Elias" in Tomar, "Tia Alice", " Crespim" and "Retiro dos Caçadoares" in Fatima, "Rito" and " Chico St.º Amaro "in Ourem, are the delight of all.

The property came into the family at the hands of the First Baron of Alvaiázere, who received the title during the reign of King John VI (1816-1826) by the dedicated medical services rendered to the King.
Since then the house has been passed from generation to generation, having been subject to several changes.
It belongs to the family that inhabits there for roughly 400 years, but it was in 1984 that it became a thriving Manor house unit, the recognized quality that has always offered its guests.
To this day it retains a traditional atmosphere and living environment. The entrance made of the stone walls, the majestic staircase that leads to the living room, past the tapestry of Arraiolos which protects the floor and the pictures on the walls, everything comes together for a great involvement environment.
This beautiful Manor House, also served as a stage for Alexandra Lencastre and Rogério Samora during the shooting of the film "O Delfim" directed by Fernando Lopes.
In this same placesome pages of our history were written here since the Napoleonic wars, to the links to the Order of Malta and Nuno Alvares Pereira.
Also attached to this character of our history, it is the chapel porch, one of the most important buildings on the property. This gained historical importance when, in August 1385, Nuno Alvares Pereira knelt and prayed to Santa Luzia, appealing to his divine protection. The interior, renovated and increased in size over time, retains the vaulted chapel and ogivada Gothic-Manueline expression.
